My journey in marine conservation began with a fascination for marine ecosystems and shark populations. While studying Great White shark declines in South Africa, I discovered the intricate links between ecosystem health, social equity, and community well-being. This insight has guided my career toward blending scientific knowledge with community-focused strategies.

I earned an MSc in Applied Ocean Science, specializing in climate change impacts on small-scale fishing communities. Beyond academic research and publications, I create educational resources, curricula, and children’s science books designed to empower youth as future environmental stewards.

Through collaborations with organizations like the Marine Conservation Institute (MCI) and Wildlife Restoration Foundation (WRF), I provide grant writing, donor relations, and project coordination services. I’ve contributed to inclusive stakeholder summits such as the North American Bison Summit and supported efforts like MCI’s Blue Parks Marine Protected Area program and WRF’s iMfolozi Rhino anti-poaching initiative.

Currently, I’m broadening my work to support impoverished coastal communities by creating educational resources for youth and assisting initiatives addressing poverty, health education, and food security.
